The Report Builder in illumin generates custom campaign reports. Set filters, add dimensions and metrics, and export results. Use this tool to access campaign performance data, track KPIs, and save reusable reports for future analysis.
Steps to open the Report Builder
- Log in to illumin.
- Go to the top right corner of the page and click the Reporting link.
- Click the Report Builder menu option.
Review the Report Builder navigation

- Click the Expand button to hide the side menu and increase the width of the Report Configuration window. To unhide the side menu, go to the right side of the page and click the X icon.
- Use the arrows to expand and collapse the Dimensions and Metrics folders. Click the Reset link to remove customizations and return to the default settings.
- Set the currency, date range, time zone, and time interval. By default, the report displays totals for each row for the selected date range. To get granular data, change the time interval (e.g. daily, weekly, etc.).
- Use the default filters (Agency, Advertisers, Journeys, and Path / Campaign Name) to progressively narrow the report's scope. Each filter selection narrows the available options in the next filter. For example, after you choose an advertiser and a journey, the Path / Campaign menu displays the options related to the filtered Journeys list. Optionally, click the New Filter button to add filters to the list.
- The page loads a default set of Dimensions and Metrics. To remove an item, click the X icon. To add an item, go to the side panel and use the checkboxes to add Dimensions and Metrics.
- Click the Collapse link to hide the Report Configuration window. Click the Open link to show the window.
Steps to generate a report
- Configure settings in the Report Configuration window. (see above).
- Optionally, click and drag a selected dimension and metric label to change the column order in the report table.
- Click the Generate Report button. The results display in a table.
- If required, make changes to the report (e.g. remove a metric or change the column order), and then click the Generate Report button again.
Steps to save a report
Click the Save button to keep the report layout. You can open a saved report and use it as a template for future reports or export a report.
