Learn how to upload native display and video files (single or bulk) to the illumin library. Review the detailed spec table and learn about acceptable formats for display and video content.

Steps to open the Creatives page

1. Log in to illumin.
2. Go to the top menu bar.
3. Select Library > Creatives.
4. Click the Add Creative button.
5. Select Single Upload or Bulk Upload.

If you select single, a side panel displays. If you select bulk, a new page displays.

Steps to upload a single file

On the next screen, select Native Display or Native Video.

Click the Select file button. A new form displays. 

1. Create a new folder (recommended).
2. Upload a file from your device. 
3. Go to the Click URL field and paste in a URL.
4. Enter a brand name (max 35 characters).
5. Enter a title (max 30 characters).
6. Upload a logo file. (required)
7. Fill in the other fields (optional).
8. Click the Add button.

Optional fields

• Creative Description: Enter an internal note so team members can understand this asset without sending you a message asking, “What’s this?”
• Creative Language: The default is English. Click the field and select a different language.
• Open RTB Creative Attributes: Insert industry-standard attributes for this creative type (e.g. survey, text only, etc.).
• Impression Pixel 1: Paste in your pixel. Optionally, click the plus (+) icon to add another.
• VAST Tracker 1: If you upload a video, insert a link that triggers when the designated action (e.g. video start) takes place. 

Steps to bulk upload files

To associate the same URL with multiple files, use a shortcut.

1. Paste the URL into the field.
2. Click the Replace button. illumin auto-fills the Click URL fields with the same web address.
3. Use the same shortcut to auto-fill other fields (e.g. Language or Impression Pixel).
4. Be sure to click the Provide Add Attributes button for each creative (a unique feature of the bulk option) and fill in the required fields. If you don't, the bulk upload won't work.

When complete, click the upload button in the bottom corner of the page. illumin uploads the files to the Creatives table. 

Steps to manage native creatives

Go to the Creatives table and expand the folder. There is one row for each file. To review or edit file settings, go to the row and click the pencil icon.

Native display specs

A successful native display upload requires an image (or video) file plus attributes, namely a logo, title, and caption. Review the spec table for details. Before uploading creatives, make sure your files and attributes conform to the specs.
